Carrying on from the previous article about marketing we shall discuss a few other options here including job boards and free online advertising. The thing you see with marketing is to get creative use the ideas you find here and in previous articles and build on them, make them your own. Yes follow the basic principles but tweek them a little, be inventive. Here is something i enjoy very much Job Web Sites. They can be amazing places to find customers particularly if your involved in MLM ( multi level marketing) or some form of business opportunity where your looking to build an organization ( a down line) I have used them very successfully in the past in attracting people who initially went to these sites looking for a job not realising that working from home was an option. These sites are no good if your promoting a product as you will not be allowed to advertise in the first place. If you are going to go this route do some checking around first the prices and deals vary tremendously. You dont have to spend the most to get the best result infact there are some good job boards that are free. Again just Google " online job sites" and take your pick. I will be discussing in more detail later about effective use of employment web sites. Now lets briefly move away from paid advertising to free. Yes we all love free. You can generate a tremendous amount of traffic with free sites if you know what your doing, which is not hard. There are the free classifieds such as Craigslist or Gumtree. Sites like these you can place free adverts pretty much all round the world. Be careful though as some of the more popular sites are beginning to charge customers to place an ad in larger cities, and you will need to keep an eye on their posting rules otherwise your ad will be kicked off instantly.
The thing with these sites is that you need to work at them. Sites such as craigslist will require you to submit multiple ads daily to generate sufficient traffic. Its not hard to do just a bit laborious. Remember to first check any site you intend to advertise on at somewhere like http:// alexa.com to see how popular they are.
Another free option is submitting articles to various article sites of which there are many. Here you can write a short blurb about something which is related to what your doing. If your selling lawn mowers then an article about lawn care would be great. You see what happens is people will find your article through the search engines. They may type in lawn care and hey presto your article pops up. The neat thing here is your allowed to put a link back to your website that the reader can click on and of course see relevant products or services so you can make a sale. Another great thing with article writing is there around forever, its like a permanent free advert floating around the web and of course the more you do the more traffic you will see but make sure there content is quality.
On a similar note is blogging. This is really a website that you create so that you can post your daily thoughts and feelings. You can write informative information about what you do or sell with of course links to these products or services. Its really another website but a little less formal and they are very easy to set up. Just go to somewhere like blogger.com or if you desire more features go to wordpress.org. All of the blogging sites will offer a basic free package but as you get more clever you will want to upgrade but get familiar with them first before paying anything.
So that's a few more ideas for online advertising some free, some paid that will definately get results so long as you persist with them. What at first might seem awkward to you will quickly become easy, so take action now
